I ME MINE
Tribute To George Harrison
Friday, May 18th, 2012 at 7 pm $28
I ME MINE is the touring production of the music of George Harrison. The
band gets it's name from the song Harrison wrote while with the Beatles
but also from his autobiography. I ME MINE captures the look and feel of
George's 1991 - 92 tour of Japan where Harrison drew material from his
entire career to create his set lists. The band performs all the classic
Harrison tunes from his first original on a Beatles LP (Don't Bother Me) to
his last solo album Brain Washed (Any Road) and everything in between.
Of course a huge selection of material comes from the Concert of
Bangladesh and George's now classic 70's solo albums. However the
band also includes a few Traveling Wilburys hits to truly show this incredible musician and songwriters career.
I ME MINE is a seven piece band with world renown musician, singer, songwriter and actor Tom Cavanagh. Cavanagh is also
known for his role as Johnny Cash in the Walking The Line show and has been on and off Broadway for the last several years
most recently doing shows such as The Fab Four and Rock of Ages. Cavanagh's ability to play and sing exactly like George is
uncanny and his years of studying North Indian Classical Music provides the opportunity to use the Sitar in the show to really
represent all facets of Harrison's music. The band also contains four extraordinary musicians and two female background
singers who are all known and highly respected for their expertise in the music world as well. So whether you are a Beatles fan,
a George Harrison fan or just a fan of great music, this is a show that you will not want to miss!
